Event Details

1. What is Front Republic?
Imagine walking into a hyper-connected family gathering accentuated by electronic music and wellness workshops, sprinkled with gentle catharsis. Immerse yourself in an environment abundant with love, generosity, creativity, and mystical, nostalgic, childlike experiences. Our participants play a big role in co-creating the magic of the festival, so we encourage everyone to arrive with an open heart and mind. Building and strengthening this unique community is a team effort, and we know you will leave feeling inspired and fulfilled by the experience.
2. When is the festival?
Front Republic 2024 is from Friday, September 6th at 12:00 PM EST to Monday, September 9th at 12:00 PM EST. We highly encourage participants to take Friday and Monday off, to make the most of your experience, and allow yourself time to decompress and integrate.
3. Where is it located?
The festival is held at 267 QC-301, Alleyn-et-Cawood, QC J0X 1P0, Canada. It’s 3 hours from Montreal and 1 hour north of Ottawa. The owner of the site is incredibly gracious to share this beautiful land and wants us to have as much fun as humanly possible! The festival will take place within a majestic forest with ample flat terrain for camping, stages, vendors, and parking. Additionally, the flat topography allows you to save your energy for the dance floor!
4. What are the check-in times?
Friday: 12 PM to 9 PM Saturday: 10 AM to 6 PM Sunday: 10 AM to 2 PM No check-ins are allowed after these times. Our check-in times are set to ensure the safety and comfort of all attendees. The festival gates will close at specific hours to prevent vehicle movement, which is crucial for two reasons. Firstly, safety is our top priority. Limiting vehicle movement reduces the risk of accidents, especially with so many people on foot. Secondly, closing the gates helps create a fully immersive experience by minimizing disruptions near key facilities like showers and other amenities. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation, as these measures help us maintain the unique and safe environment that makes our festival special.
5. What is the cost of tickets?
Tickets start at $239 plus tax for past attendees (loyalty tickets) and go up to $299 plus tax. Limited RV parking passes and parking passes for cars are available. After the daily lineups have been announced, we will also release Saturday-Sunday tickets and Sunday-only tickets.
6. Are ins and outs allowed with the parking pass or RV pass?
Cars are allowed to come and go during our check-in times. However, please make sure you return to the festival before check-in closes each day. Unfortunately, RVs are not allowed ins and outs for security reasons.
7. What is the “Burn & Release”?
Inspired by Burning Man, the event’s name comes from its culminating ceremony: the symbolic burning of a large effigy, referred to as “the Man,” which occurs on the penultimate night of the festival. The collective burn was inspired by a spontaneous act of “radical self-expression” and provides participants with an opportunity to “burn” what no longer serves them. Indeed, burning effigies is part of many international cultural rituals to mark the change of seasons or self.
8. What kind of wellness workshops and activities will be available?
All of our wellness workshops and daytime activities will take place in the Grounding Grove—a serene sanctuary nestled deep within the forest. There, among towering trees, we will gather to breathe, share wisdom, and connect with nature’s quiet power. This sacred space, embraced by the woods and led by our talented facilitators, invites you to center yourself and awaken through an astonishing schedule of workshops, including meditation, Kundalini yoga, astrology and abundance workshops, improv and vinyl sessions, as well as breathwork and somatic release. Allow yourself to turn on, tune in, and drop out before the night’s magical journey begins. Together, we root ourselves in nature’s embrace, ready to rise and move in harmony with the rhythm of life. Let the forest and our gifted guides bring us together in community and connection.
9. Can I volunteer at the festival?
Yes, and we warmly welcome all volunteers! Join the fun at Front Republic and be a part of the team creating the magic. We have two programs available, with roles including Registration, Campground Management, Decoration, Security, Sustainability, Kitchen Crew, Drivers, and more. Sign up here to help make this year’s festival unforgettable!
10. Are kids allowed?

11. Are dogs allowed?
Guide and service dogs are allowed and must have proper identification. If you wish to bring your dog to the festival, this is possible. Please email Tony at [email protected] to discuss. Make sure to attach a photo and include a little bit about your dog and yourself.

Campsite Rules, Accessibility and Transportation

1. What should I bring?
Bring whatever you feel called to share, whether it’s food, art, massages, or hugs. Also, remember to bring reusable bottles for liquids, as no glass is allowed on the festival grounds for safety reasons. For more details, check out this year’s comprehensive packing list.
The festival is Cash Only.
The festival is cash-only due to the lack of cellphone reception in our remote forest location. This also gives you a chance to disconnect from the digital world and fully immerse yourself in the festival experience. By letting go of the usual distractions, you can focus on the moment, the music, and the people around you. Please remember to bring enough cash to cover your needs throughout the event and get ready to fully dive into the experience we’ve created for you.
2. Will there be showers on site?
Yes, there are four showers on site. Despite this, we request that our attendees please limit their shower time to a maximum of four minutes. Did you know that cutting just one minute from your daily shower could save about 75 gallons of water a month? In addition to conserving water, shorter showers also help save energy and reduce the depletion of fossil fuels, thereby lowering your personal carbon footprint! By reducing the amount of hot water that needs to be produced, less electricity is used to heat the water. 3. What are the Leave No Trace guidelines?
We ask everyone to pack out all their garbage and recycling. This helps us maintain the beauty of our festival grounds and respects the environment. For further information, check out the Seven Principles of Leave No Trace.
4. Can I play music at our campsite?
Yes, you are allowed to play music; however, loud music is not permitted. Additionally, no music is allowed after dark to ensure other campers can sleep peacefully.
5. Are the festival grounds accessible for people with disabilities?
Yes, the festival will be taking place on flat ground, making it possible for those with disabilities to get around comfortably.
6. Is there public transportation to the festival?
There is no public transportation available straight to the festival site, so we recommend carpooling with friends.
